On Monday May 5th, Karma in association with i102-104FM will present Got House? v’s iParty. Representing Karma’s Got House? is Casper & for his new show, iParty, on i102-104FM is Tom Lavin. The event is a night for music lovers featuring upfront funky house, electro & progressive house music, seeing the two dj’s go head to head. Details will be on air on i102-104fm with VIP tables and invites up for grabs for the event. Keep an eye out for invites that will be distributed also. Doors 11pm, Admission €8. www.karma.ie

 

 

Coming to Karma this May

MISS UNIVERSE DATE CHANGES......
Miss. Universe heats have been extended once again at Karma Galway & Athlone as the main final in Citywest, Dublin, has been changed to June 8th. The date has been changed as TV3 are going to televise the event with phone & text voting on the night to decide who will become Ireland’s Miss. Universe representative. Ireland AM & Expose will also be covering the event & interviewing the girls who are chosen to go into the competition. TV3 will be making visits to the homes of the girls to find out more about them which will be shown on the final night. Alan Hughes of TV3 & a surprise celebrity will be presenting the show to an estimated audience of over 300,000 viewers. Top Irish models Rosanna Davidson & Glenda Gilson will also be there to give their support to the 28 finalists & of course Miss.Universe Ireland managing director Andrea Roche. There has been huge interest in Karma for this competition and now with TV3 backing, it will only get bigger. So girls if you think that you have what it takes to win the Karma Galway or Athlone finals & represent Karma at Miss. Universe Ireland, then make sure you are in either club over the next few weeks to be picked by their talent scouts. Deadline for Karma heats is now the 11th May.

Miss Universe Ireland 2008 is happening on Saturday April 26th in Dublin� Citywest Hotel, as part of the buildup to the most glamorous event in the world �the global Miss Universe Pageant which will take place in Vietnam later this year.

Miss Universe Ireland will be a black tie affair, hosted by Ireland A.M.� Alan Hughes and a surprise celebrity female host. It will be attended by Ireland� most glamorous celebrities, as well as Ireland� leading models and TV personalities.

TV3's popular breakfast show, Ireland AM, will be interviewing all of the finalists and allowing their viewers to get to know the girls in the run-up to the event. The show will also be filming the final and interviewing the lucky girl who will be crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2008.

The winner of Miss Universe Ireland will fly to Vietnam in July to represent Ireland in the 57th Annual Miss Universe. This glamourous live event, featuring some the world's most beautiful women, will air from the Crown Convention Centre on NBC, as well as 117 other TV stations worldwide. As always, it will be watched by millions of people throughout the world.

Last year� winner, Riyo Mori of Japan, has traveled the world since winning the crown, acting as an advocate for HIV/Aids education, research, and legislation. The newly crowned Miss Universe will go on to do the same.

The winner of Miss Universe Ireland will win a modeling contract with Assets Modeling Agency. Other perks include living in a luxury apartment for the year, free use of a car for the year, free haircare from Peter Mark and top hairstylist, Michael Doyle.

There will also be a stunning collection of jewellery from Newbridge Silverware, beauty products, designer gowns made by one of Ireland� leading dress designers, as well as a stunning wardrobe of clothes.

During her reign, Miss Universe Ireland will use her title and new-found celebrity to raise awareness and funds for a number of chosen charities.
